Michael Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how T.A. Tech Inc. collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Michael.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Michael, we may collect:

Account information

Information you provide when creating or managing your Michael account, such as your name, email address, and account credentials.

Your conversations with Michael

Requests, questions, and other information you provide while interacting with Michael.

Shopping preferences

Information you choose to provide about your preferences, including brands, sizes, styles, colors, budgets, interests, and other shopping preferences.

Shopping activity

Information about products you view, products Michael selects, retailer connections, purchases attributed through Michael, and other shopping activity.

Family and friends information

If you use Michael to shop for someone else, you may provide information about that person's preferences, sizes, interests, relationship to you, important dates, or other information relevant to helping Michael shop for them.

Network and invitation information

Information necessary to operate your network, including invitation links, QR codes, referral attribution, network membership, and related activity.

Revenue sharing information

Information necessary to calculate and administer pending commissions, confirmed earnings, your Michael Earnings Balance, and use of those earnings.

Contacts

If you sign in with Google and allow access, Michael receives the contacts saved in that Google account, including names, email addresses, and phone numbers, so you can choose who to invite. Michael does not send an invitation until you confirm the people you selected.

Device and usage information

We may automatically collect technical information such as device type, browser, IP address, operating system, application activity, error logs, and similar information used to operate, secure, and improve Michael.

Support communications

We may retain information you provide when contacting Michael or T.A. Tech for assistance.

3. Personalization

Michael is designed to become more useful as it understands your preferences. Information you provide and your interactions with Michael may be used to personalize future searches and selections.

For example, if Michael knows your preferred brands, sizes, budget, or other preferences, it may consider that information when helping with future requests.

4. Shopping for other people

Michael may allow you to maintain separate shopping information for people you shop for. This information is intended to help Michael distinguish their preferences from yours. You should only provide information about another person that you are authorized or otherwise permitted to provide.

5. Google user data

Michael requests Google data only when you choose Continue with Google.

What we access: your Google account name and email address, so we can create or open your Michael account. If you allow “See and download your contacts,” we also access the names, email addresses, and phone numbers saved in that Google account.

How we use it: account details identify you. Contact details are shown to you so you can select people to invite. Michael does not send an invitation until you confirm the selection.

How we store it: account details are stored with your Michael profile. Imported contacts are stored in your account so you can review them later. We do not use Google user data to train public models, to advertise, or to sell data.

How we share it: we do not sell Google user data. An invitation is sent only to a contact you selected. Service providers that host the application may process this data solely to operate Michael.

Michael does not use Google APIs to generate text, images, or video. Michael prohibits using the service or any Google API to generate, facilitate, or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery or synthetic explicit content.

6. Affiliate tracking

Michael works with participating retailers and affiliate networks. When you visit or purchase from a participating retailer through Michael, information may be exchanged with the retailer or affiliate network so that the transaction can be attributed to Michael.

This information may also be necessary to determine whether a transaction generated an affiliate commission and whether an eligible network member earned revenue-sharing credit. Cookies, tracking identifiers, or similar technologies may be used for this purpose.

7. When we share information

We may share information when reasonably necessary with service providers that help us operate Michael, such as technology, hosting, AI, analytics, security, communications, and customer-support providers.

We may also share necessary information with retailers, affiliate networks, and other partners involved in shopping transactions and commission attribution.

We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect Michael, T.A. Tech, our users, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity.

T.A. Tech does not sell personal information for money.

8. AI and service providers

Shopping conversation is provided by OpenAI. Accounts and stored data are hosted with Supabase. Google is used for sign-in and optional contact import only. Michael does not send prompts to a Google generative-AI model and does not generate images.

9. How long we keep information

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Michael, maintain accounts, operate applicable programs, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. Different categories of information may be kept for different periods.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are also responsible for protecting your account credentials.

11. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights concerning your personal information, which may include rights to:

Access certain information
Correct inaccurate information
Delete certain information
Obtain information about how information is used or shared
Exercise other privacy rights provided by applicable law

You can submit a privacy request to the email below. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

12. Account deletion

You may request deletion of your Michael account and associated personal information by emailing the address below. Some information may be retained when required by law or reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, financial recordkeeping, affiliate attribution, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements.

13. Children's privacy

Michael is not intended for children under 13. Account creation asks for an age of 13 or older.

14. Future Michael services

As Michael expands into additional areas such as restaurants, travel, hotels, parking, payments, or other services, additional information may be required to provide those features. We will update this policy before using personal information for materially different purposes.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Michael evolves. The Last updated date identifies the current version. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
